The 15-Minute Weekly Family Huddle
A short meeting rhythm that prevents the biggest caregiving conflicts.
3 min readReviewed 9/4/2026
Most family fights over caregiving come from unspoken assumptions. A short weekly huddle fixes most of them.
Same day and time each week. 15 minutes on video or phone. Three questions: What happened this week? What is coming next week? What does anyone need help with? Write down who owns each task. Send the notes to whoever could not attend.
Checklist
- Pick a day and time — protect it
- Cap the meeting at 15 minutes
- Assign every task to one person by name
- Send notes to everyone, even non-attendees
